Responsibilities:

The HR Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all HR activities within the business, including but not limited to:

• Act as a business partner towards the functional Leaders on a mix of strategic and tactical activities.
• Lead and execute HR processes and initiatives for the business including talent planning, recruitment, performance management, total compensation planning, etc.
• Support and implement action plans based on 80/20 FTB activities of the division.
• Partner with leadership team to develop recruitment plans to obtain the right people & organizational capabilities to achieve the division’s goals.
• Review and update job grading and drive alignment of compensation.
• Drive compliance with and implementation of all relevant HR policies, procedures and initiatives.
• Champion and foster a business environment that demonstrates ITW Culture and Values.
• Promote the utilization and integration of the ITW operating philosophy, tools, and drivers.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree or additional educational experiences a plus.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in human resources and organizational development roles.
• Strong human resources technical capability.
• Experience negotiating with Unions Committees, preferable in the Basque region.
• Demonstrated ability to produce results within a team environment and to develop productive working relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Strong change management, analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience building people and organization plans to ensure organizational readiness and capability to meet changing business conditions.
• Good understanding of business dynamics and organizational design.
• Can manage a high level of complexity within an ever-changing business environment.
• Demonstrated success within a multinational organization is a plus.
• Strong people management skills. Excellent at driving accountability and results.
• Cross cultural awareness.
• Spanish mother tongue, proficiency in English is required. Basque language would be a plus.

  • Analytical mindset and strong orientation to detail.

Business travel

  • The HR Manager will act as a Business Partner towards different departments located in different countries. Business travel will be required.
