Position Overview:

The Key Accounts Specialist will deploy and support Loma‘s Key Account strategic plan. Working within the Customer Relationship Department, the role will focus on the analytical and tactical work to ensure key account satisfaction throughout all interactional and transactional activities. The position holder will be expected to provide a professional and efficient sales and marketing function. This includes evaluating and responding to Request For Proposals / Quotation and preparing bid package responses to secure orders with selected key accounts. This role is critical in providing the highest levels of sales support to our most important customers while maximizing the efficiency of sales, marketing, engineering and service resources.


  • Understand and analyze Key Account industry trends, their end markets, sales strategies and channels.
  • Conduct Market Analysis and Key Account studies while exhibiting relentless focus on our 80 customers, products and processes.
  • Identify relevant contacts and potential sponsors within Key Accounts to secure customer loyalty and repeat sales.
  • Develop customized offering for each key account based on a validated analysis and business unit capabilities.
  • Assist in the development of purposed-designed solutions (equipment, after-market products) for key accounts.
  • Analyze purchase trends (product specific, demographic and competitive solution sales) and update Key Performance Indicators pertaining to Key Accounts.
  • Assist in delivering bid package proposals to Key Accounts (travelling to customer sites is expected)
  • Visit key accounts and attend trade shows as needed to support sales objectives.
  • Assist and host customer visits at the Carol Stream, IL facility. This includes initiating voice of customer events, in collaboration with the Marketing Department, to capture important information for the segment
  • Collaborate across functionally towards successful completion of outlined above responsibilities.
  • Pro-actively participate in ITW’s ‘toolbox’ initiatives (i.e. USa, 80/20 Philosophy, PLS, MRD, and In-Lining)
  • In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by their supervisor that are essentially related to their duties.

Requisitos del puesto


  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management or related field required and a minimum 2 years of experience in sales, key account or a customer facing role.
  • May substitute education with minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Must be enthusiastic, self- motivated and able to manage own workload.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident with both internal and external. individuals at all levels. Excellent telephone manner.
  • Hands-on approach to getting things done, with a desire to make a difference.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Bi, Visio, Access) and SharePoint.
  • Must be able to travel across North America (US and Canada) up to 35% of the time.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management or related field preferred.
  • Experience within the capital equipment manufacturing organization.
