Descripción del empleo

Tends eyelet-forming machines to make product that meets customer specifications and quality requirements by performing the following duties:

 

  • Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Use of gauges, micrometers, and other devices to measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation and product quality.
  • Performs minor machine maintenance: oiling machines, dies, or work pieces.
  • Completes all required part processing documentation in a timely manner.
  • Maintains good housekeeping standards.
  • Follows all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company.
  • Maintains a safe working environment.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary to meet the needs of the business.

 

 

 

2.0       PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

 

  • Manipulate hands, wrists, and fingers to grasp tools and parts.
  • Stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Sit, stoop, knee, crouch, or crawl.
  • Communicate through speaking and listening.
  • Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 40lbs and move more than 100 lbs.
  • Vision: Ability to view objects at close distance.

3.0       WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

 

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to vibration.
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.
  • Regularly exposed to loud noise levels in the working environment.

Requisitos del puesto

Educational/Skill Guidelines:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents (i.e. safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English). 

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to complete routine production and quality reports. Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers, and to multiply/divide w/10’s and 100’s.  Ability to perform these operations, using units of American denominations and weight: measurement, volume, and distance.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense knowledge to perform simple one or two-step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional, or no variable.
