Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for keeping an open line of communication with other departments to ensure that established processes are up to OSHA regulated standards.      
  • Follow all prescribed safety/housekeeping practices and procedures; conduct audits for safety and housekeeping during the shift; actively facilitate and participate in safety incident investigations.
  • Participate in cross training of equipment to be able to provide assistance and guidance where needed.
  • Monitor and work to improve plant and/or departmental performance metrics including production output, scrap and run rates hourly; carry out trouble shooting activities as needed.
  • Perform quality assurance functions: identify and resolve potential production non-conformances.
  • Maintain consistent communications and collaboration with cross functional team members regarding inventory levels, material usage and any production issues via reporting.
  • Coordinate onboarding and training of new hires/temporary; coordinate and assist with documenting cross training for existing employees.
  • Understand and apply consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma /GED, required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a high-volume/high-output manufacturing environment, required.
  • Experience in metal forming capacity, preferred.
  • Must be able to work 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (M-F), overtime during the week and weekends as required.
  • Must experience in Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Must have prior experience operating powered industrial vehicles.
  • Must have prior experience in interpretation of the processes and procedures as well as communicating effectively to the team.
  • Must possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers/decimals and the ability to apply concepts of business math to practical situations.
  • Must have leadership experience in the current or prior roles.
