Project Manager - Rogers, MN


North Star Imaging manufactures, sells and services state-of-the-art X-ray Imaging systems an CT equipment for industrial use. We also design and develop the software applications used in these systems. Our Inspection Services Group offers need based consulting for anyone needing X-ray and/or computed tomography scanning.  In addition, NSI provides a Technical Service & Support team that is on call 24/7 to address immediate global customer service needs. Our corporate office is located in the Twin Cities Metro Area. This facility has approximately 90 highly skilled employees including application specialists, mechanical engineers, software engineers, programmers, level 3 instructors and others.


Job Summary

Develop, drive, and sustain the department/company business strategy.  The Project Manager will lead and manage cross-functional teams as well as individual contributors to ensure accountability and timely deliverables resulting in on time, in scope and in budget project completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for Manufacture to Order and Development Projects.


Responsibilities/Duties

  • Work with cross functional team members to drive projects to success while overseeing the budget, resources, risks, scope and quality
  • Develop and drive standard tools for project deliverables
  • Proactively identify and assess areas of risk and solve as required. Proactively manage and report on project budget.
  • Manage cross functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing, R & D, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure fulfillment of necessary deliverables to support the Quality Management System
  • Create and maintain project schedules while ensuring stakeholder’s expectations align with the outcome
  • Assist in defining best in class project delivery methods and ensure best practices and methods are adopted by team members
  • Assist PMO Manager in building and maintaining a best-in-breed PMO
  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas including project management, scope definition, risk identification, mitigation, project financial management and effective problem-solving techniques
  • Quickly identify project issues and drive resolutions successfully

Requisitos del puesto

Required Skills

  • Excellent Organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Project and Word, with advanced proficiency in Excel highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with large-scale capital equipment projects
  • Extensive experience in the use of Project Management methodologies and tools including, but not limited to Agile, Standard SDLC and/or Waterfall
  • 1-3 years project management experience in a manufacturing company working directly with customers
