The Sourcing and Supply Chain Intern for ITW North America Construction will develop performance metrics for key suppliers and processes, identify supply chain capacity constraints and use process tools and analytics to map supply chain processes.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supply chain capacity planning to analyze make versus buy decisions on defined products.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify supply chain complexity across the divisions
  • Import compliance procedures based on changes within the supply chain including US regulatory requirements

Expected Learnings:

  • Capacity planning including make vs. buy analysis.
  • Cost/benefit analysis, transportation analytics and inventory cost analytics.
  • Value stream mapping and understanding total costs of supply chain

Job Requirements:

  • Rising Senior pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office with an emphasis on Excel (pivot tables, sumif, etc).
  • Be able to asses and evaluate large data sets using Microsoft tools
  • Strong written and verbal communications.

Most time will be spent in a manufacturing and distribution facility environment.  Occasionally the employee may be required to spend time in in an office environment and other locations of the division.
