Alpine is seeking a Business Unit Manager to lead our capital equipment business in Dallas, Texas.

The Business Unit Manager will have full accountability to manage Alpine’s capital equipment business and is responsible for developing, designing, marketing, and selling products or services related to Equipment.  Responsibilities include market assessment, business planning, product roadmap development, product requirements definition, product lifecycle management, and go-to-market planning and execution as well as installation and maintenance services for our customers.  The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the Equipment P&L to achieve profitable growth. Achieve annual revenue and income plans.
  • Partners with key stakeholders on strategic direction and leads development of Annual and Long Range Plan for Equipment.
  • Using the customer back innovation process, collaborate with the sales team to deliver on commercial targets.
  • Builds the value proposition for equipment. Develops, implements, and adjusts marketing strategies to profitably grow share.
  • Applies ITW principles on an ongoing basis to improve operational excellence.  Leads projects dedicated to continuous improvement efforts.  Oversees KPI metrics required to meet operating goals, customer service needs and financial growth objectives.
  • Assesses external opportunities utilizing an Outside-In approach with key stakeholders to translate market insights into new market share opportunities that broaden the current value proposition and help provide sustainable differentiation.
  • Coaches, mentors, and develops talent within the organization.  Collaborates with others to enable robust career paths.  Builds a diverse, high performing organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required in engineering discipline; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of increasingly responsible experience with demonstrated success in project management, new product development/product launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive business results through operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience implementing initiatives such as brand lifecycle management, pricing, marketing/sales support & communication, market research and competitive intelligence, directly connected to improvements in sales, revenue and market share
  • Proven results in managing and developing talent.  Experience leading a high performance service team preferred.
