Alpine, an ITW company, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to produce quality subassemblies, assemblies, modules and completed equipment systems of an electro-mechanical nature by assembling, testing and troubleshooting top-level systems according to standard operating procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Produces quality subassemblies, assemblies and top-level-machine units by following assembly drawings, blueprints, schematics, work instructions, troubleshooting and resolving assembly, electro-mechanical and pneumatic problems
  • Performs troubleshooting by thinking logically about possible root causes and determine/verify solutions in conjunction with operations and engineering resources. Initiates and follows thru on corrective actions
  • Assists other operations technicians, engineering and installation teams by directing assembly/test activities and providing cross-functional support
  • Assists in keeping production on schedule by monitoring production status highlighting areas of concern and taking proactive countermeasures as appropriate
  • Contributes to process/product/cost improvement efforts by initiating, participating and leading in engineering and continuous improvement teams
  • Contributes to team effort in a collaborative supportive manner
  • Maintains clean organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures and regulations

 Job Requirements:

  • High School degree and 2-5 years of experience in the manufacturing/service of electro-mechanical devices
  • 2-5 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting with electrical control and pneumatic system experience strongly preferred
  • Associates degree, Certificate of Trade School or Technical Training preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to read, interpret mechanical drawings, electrical/pneumatics schematics to troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of calipers, micrometers, multimeters, torque wrenches, jigs and fixtures
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, collect/analyze data, make decisions and prepare findings
  • Ability to handle multi-task effectively and complete assigned responsibilities in a timely manner
  • Solid computer, time management and organizational skills
  •  Basic understanding of AC/DC circuits and ohms law.
  • Must be able to use an array of electrical tooling stripper, crimpers and terminal torque wrench.
