A big multinational company & leader in the Mining industry, is looking for a Digital Communications Specialist for its offices in Athens to safeguard and promote the company’s reputation and philosophy by delivering effective digital communications in support of the corporate communication strategy and business objectives.

To ensure success, the candidate must be passionate in new technologies, creative and good in storytelling, self-motivated and agile with a hands-on attitude.

The position reports directly to the Director of Corporate Affairs & Communications of the company.

Role Responsibilities

  • Co-design and implement the digital communications strategy, campaigns and projects in alignment with the strategic communication objectives and in close cooperation with involved third parties (ie. digital agency, graphic designers, producers, etc.)
  • Manage and develop content for corporate digital assets (website, intranet, blog, social media, other digital assets) ensuring consistency in messaging and look & feel
  • Manage social media channels, run social media campaigns, develop content and coordinate content calendar, manage social media community suggesting suitable tactics, monitor analytics and insights to optimize performance, report on digital activities
  • Provide improvement recommendations for SEO (on-site & off-site) and organic search rankings
  • Support website design, manage content management platform, develop & perform content updates, monitor Google/site analytics
  • Develop and update content for corporate intranet systematically, suggest and implement ways to sustain it, and monitor analytics for optimization and further development
  • Design and distribute internal communication materials, ie. presentations, newsletters, forms, flyers, etc.
  • Develop, edit and produce multimedia assets (photos, videos, infographics, animations, etc.) and manage relevant software
  • Support company’s Digital Asset Management platform in terms of set-up, assets’ control and regular update 
  • Organize online internal or external events and support the digital aspect of physical corporate events (townhalls, media events, community events, internal workshops, conferences, global events)
  • Assist in press office activities by monitoring and analyzing online media coverage, suggest tactics for managing online reputation, and produce content for online use (ie. blogging, natives, etc.)
  • Monitor digital and social media trends and suggest new tools and tactics
  • Engage with other departments and management regularly to collect information and feed digital assets accordingly
  • Enhance the corporate culture, values and promote the corporate and communications principles under specific goals and measurable targets

Know-how Requirements

  • Strong copywriting (business and social media writing) and verbal communication skills
  • Deep understanding of digital and social media platforms and online reputation management tools/techniques
  • Proven experience in managing corporate social media tools and technologies, including monitoring and digital marketing metrics
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Sharepoint and other digital apps (ie. Sway, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Lumen5, PowerDirector 365, etc.), etc.) and a good eye for visual design
  • Detail-oriented and good project management skills
  • Fluency in English
  • At least 2 years’ experience across in Digital Communications field
  • Studies in Digital Marketing, Social media, Communications/Media, Computer Science/Design, or similar
