We are looking for a full-time third-level IT Support Engineer/Officer that must be able to work independently and collaboratively with other Team Members to provide IT support for a large group of organizations operating in the maritime sector.

  • Provide helpdesk assistance (ad-hoc) via telephone or remote desktop for troubleshooting 3rd level software and hardware for a range of 120 users. Matters befalling to this category include but are not limited to Office Software Applications, Enterprise E-mail System (SQL-Based), Company ERP (Oracle-Based), Company Internal Development BI(PHP-Based), Web Browsing and Internet, Printing, Window 10 Professional System Parameters and environment in a list of corporate devices (desktops, laptops and company's mobile devices-mainly Iphones).
  • Provide technical assistance in hardware listed above. Basic updates on hardware/firmware. Advanced configuration for Windows 10 Pro Desktops/Laptops in a modern corporate environment.
  • Provide implementation of needed changes on Windows Server 2008R2 to Windows Server 2016 basic roles of DNS/DHCP/WSUS/FTP/Certification Authority/NTFS Permissions on File Sharing and Access/Active Directory Services/VPN Services.
  • Troubleshoot General and Advanced Networking Issues to ensure integrity, availability and security as per Company Policies.
  • Maintain security and privacy of information systems, communication lines and equipment following Company Policies. Application and setup of Group Policy for Windows 10 Pro Desktop environment and Global Group Policy for Windows 2008R2 to Windows 2016 Server infrastructure.
  • Maintain security of systems, terminals and mobile devices ensuring the security of communication means with the ability to handle e-mail spam/phising and spoofing attempts and provide management of device sas per IT Security standards.
  • Maintain system availability in terms of processing power, storage and server requirements under a virtualized system infrastructure using VMWare and HyperV for both matters of servers and client remote terminals (Terminal Services).
  • Maintain, design and implement backup procedures and adhere to management approved RPOs and RTOs.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining the corporate e-mail system, SQL Based with management portal and the terminal clients, as well as the corporate ERP System, Oracle Based and the terminal clients.
  • Jointly develop, review and certify assigned procedures and plans for IT Quality Procedures under ISO 27001 and NIST methodology.

Required Skills:
  • University degree in the field of Computer Science, Computer Networking or Communications, Information Systems.
  • 5+Years of experience in IT Administration, System, Network, Communications Management.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Server Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge in Symantec Antivirus and BackupExec Platforms.
  • IT Asset Management knowledge. Use of Access or Similar Database systems for Asset
  • Management. Previous use of GLPI or other relevant IT Asset Management Systems and Tools.
  • Knowledge and troubleshoot Windows 2008R2 to Windows 2016 System Updates and Configuration changes for the basic roles of DNS/DHCP/WSUS/FTP/Certification Authority/NTFS Permissions on File Sharing and Access/Active Directory Services/VPN Services. Applicable Microsoft certifications.
  • Networking knowledge of TCP/IP Communication, VLAN Segmentation design, DNS/DHCP Zoning, General Knowledge of Managed Corporate Networks.
  • Applicable CISCO certifications.
  • Middleware system knowledge for managing a virtualized infrastructure network(using VMWare and Hyper V)
  • Applicable VMWare certifications.
  • Common corporate antivirus tools such as Symantec, ESET and Windows Defender. Additional knowledge desktop and server utilities and backup tools.

  • Basic knowledge on Linux-Mac and Unix based systems.
  • Familiar or knowledgeable on the matters of NIST/ISO 27001/SOX Requirements for IT Security and Management in a modern corporate environment.
  • Microsoft SQL/Oracle Database. Microsoft Power BI Services and C# Web Services.
  • Open mind in terms of training and attendance to seminar, webinars to enrich his/her knowledge and able to transfer this knowledge to colleagues.
  • Must be able and willing to monitor technology trends.
  • Ability to travel frequently / Drivers License / Valid Passport.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Experience in maritime industry as a plus.
  • Fulfilled military obligations if applicable.
