KVC Kentucky Assessment & Support Supervisors are responsible for overseeing completion of assessments of child abuse and neglect in families referred by the Department for Community Based Services. Assessment & Support Supervisors will utilize evidence-informed tools to consult with staff on investigations in order to establish safety, identify risks, and provide services, as needed, to improve each child’s safety, permanency, and well-being. Assessment & Support Supervisors will serve as liaison between Assessment & Support Workers and Department for Community Based Services personnel.  Assessment & Support Supervisors will assist Assessment & Support workers present assessment findings to designated DCBS staff in order to actively engage in joint decision-making process. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work (or closely related human services field), have demonstrated experience overseeing supervising other professionals, and have availability to maintain a flexible work schedule necessary to meet family and agency needs.

Funding for this position provided through the Cabinet for Health and Family Services with Kentucky State Funds and/or Federal Funds.

Salary ranges are based on experience and have been increased to be more competitive.
