Behavioral Health Technician

Behavioral Health Technicians provide compassionate care and supervision of children and youth. These individuals provide sight and sound supervision of our clients' daily activities, including hygiene, while teaching coping techniques and positive behaviors. These individuals can expect to work closely with nurses and therapists in reinforcing treatment plans, documenting client activity, and maintaining a safe environment.  A thorough background check and drug screen is required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Base pay rate starts at $16 per hour depending on education and experience.

The Behavioral Health Technician will:

  • supervise clients at all times to ensure basic needs are being met
  • assist clients through completion of daily responsibilities, activities and living skills
  • model positive behavior and effective problem solving techniques
  • responsible for keeping the unit safe, clean and orderly
  • provide needed support to improve treatment outcomes

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) from an accredited high school
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • CNA license is a plus
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
