Job Description

The Hospital Admissions Coordinator assists with the coordination of intakes and assessments for short term hospitalization of clients. The job is fast paced and requires accuracy and attention to detail. The Coordinator will be part of the KVC Admissions Department, part of the treatment team, and may be a primary contact with the health plan.  The Coordinator will have contact with physicians, nurses and UR to ensure timely, accurate and complete assessments are performed on children and youth, and making appropriate referrals for placement and services based on the assessment. Will be responsible for completing intake and assessment documentation with new patients and their families. Must possess outstanding customer service skills. All employees must be at least 21 years of age.

These are PRN positions. One can expect to work one or two weekends per month, or overnight. Pay rate starts at $14 per hour depending on experience.


Associates degree and one year experience in a human services field required. Bachelors Degree in a human service field (i.e. Social Work, Education, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Human Relations) preferred.


Valid driver’s license and auto insurance


Experience working with economically disadvantaged, vulnerable or at risk youth and/or young adults. Prefer a minimum of two years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
