KVC Nebraska is looking for an Intensive In-Home Specialist who will provide a variety of services to families to promote stabilization in the home. This position is located in Lincoln, NE in the Northern Service Area. 

The Intensive In-Home Specialist will:

  • provide in-home services to families to prevent the removal of children and promote long-term stability of the family.
  • use a wide variety of educational approaches to assist youth and family members in stabilizing
  • develop, review and evaluate family goals on a regular basis
  • prepare reports for court as required and prepare regular updates
  • provide crisis intervention to families

Due to the unique needs of the families we serve, this role does not have a predictable schedule. KVC staff have the flexibility to manage their own time to create a positive work-life balance, but there will be evening and weekend work required as well as significant travel time to visit families in their homes.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree plus two years experience in human services or a related field but preferred Bachelor’s degree.

  • A Bachelor’s in Social Work is preferred

  • Exception to education requirement may be considered with relevant and significant personal and/work professional experience
