Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Worker who takes pride in their work to join the  team at our Prairie Ridge Hospital Campus in Kansas City, KS. This is not a housekeeping position. This individual will assist with maintenance and repair of KVC's buildings and grounds. This individual should expect to provide drywall repair, basic plumbing maintenance and repair, painting, and maintenance of playground structures, as well as other maintenance related tasks.  Skills and experience in drywall, basic plumbing, and trouble shooting HVAC problems required. Basic computer skills in Microsoft office required to read and respond to work orders.

  • Repair minor electrical items
  • Repair furniture, fences and windows
  • Build shelves and other necessities
  • Repair ceiling when needed
  • Paint interior walls
  • Some grounds keeping
  • On call for emergency repairs

Standard hours are M-F 7:30am - 3:30pm, with mandatory participation in an on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays.  Pay rate starts at $14 per hour depending on experience.

High School diploma or GED required. Technical school training preferred.
