Job Summary:

Serve as the Development team’s resident individual giving expert, managing the day-to-day operations of the individual giving program. Actively work to support a comprehensive individual giving strategy to build process, pipeline and stewardship practices. Provide the primary logistical and organizational support to keep the individual giving contacts connected, engaged and involved. Consistently monitor existing donors, building understanding of individual priorities and potential for upgraded gifts, and planning for regular, personalized touch points throughout the year.

Oversee annual giving

  • Plan, implement and manage annual giving, multi-channel giving and solicitation strategies; including direct mail, phone, internet and email correspondence
  • In partnership with public relations, create a calendar of multi-channel communication strategies
  • Manage relationship with direct mail vendor including content strategy, segmentation and analysis of annual giving performance

Manage a portfolio of 75% leadership annual giving donors and 25% major gift donors (total portfolio size 75-100)

  • Solicit and steward donors of $500+
  • Cultivate leadership annual gift donors toward major gift level
  • Create prospect strategy plans for MG donors and prospect
  • Track development activity and donor interaction in Raiser’s Edge
  • Create basic research profile for all major gifts prospects (including natural partner relationships)
  • Identify and create opportunities for hospital leadership to meet with major gift donors
  • Work with the Vice President of Development to create individual giving metrics
  • Assist with special event solicitations
  • Write major gift proposals

Oversee Corporate Advisory Board (CAB)

  • Serve as staff liaison to CAB
  • Provide strategic direction
  • Attend all meetings and friendraiser/fundraising events

Job Requirements

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in annual fund and/or major gift fundraising required.
  • Knowledge of planned giving vehicles preferred.
  • Excellent written, oral communications and interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills required.
  • Strong experience in recruiting, training, and motivating high level volunteers required.
  • Results-oriented with excellent organizational and planning skills required.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter and team player with energy, enthusiasm, flexibility.
