Job Description/Summary

The Continuous Improvement Leader’s role is to identify, lead, and execute the CI/LeanSigma® strategy across the organization to deliver bottom line, quantified results.  This includes business assessment, planning, facilitation, execution of Kaizen events, and sustainment of standard work and procedures.  The CI Manager will drive the cultural transformation through the business building effective matrix teams and driving involvement and talent multiplication.  The role will include extensive Lean/Six Sigma training and hands on people development.  The CI Leader reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing supporting multiple plants.

Essential Functions                                                             

  • Identify opportunities within operations to drive process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to drive cost reductions
  • Communicate projects and priorities
  • Design and implement improvement sustainable systems
  • Educate the workforce and management on Lean and SixSigma principles
  • Work with all functions of the organization to drive improvements

  • Exhibit Strong Track record of results in past assignments  

Certifications and Special Requirements

  • Lean certification
  • SixSigma Backbelt

  • Shanin Red-X improvement methodology (preference)

  • Other improvement tools

  • Certified PPM Preferred

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors’ Degree in a Business or Engineering discipline and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an operations or process improvement function

  • Certified Lean Leader

  • Strongly Prefer Six Sigma Black Belt Certified Professional, minimal considered greenbelt level
