Job Description

Lasko Products, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of portable fans and heaters for over 100 years, is looking for a Shipping Manager to join our Fort Worth, Texas team. The Shipping Manager is responsible for managing the efficient distribution of our goods. They will collaborate with our Transportation and production departments to streamline our processes. The Shipping Manager will direct staff, analyze data, and develop solutions to expedite our products to our customers.

Esssential Job Functions:

  • Manages and identifies logistical concerns and furnishes solutions to these issues.
  • Communicates regularly to senior management and support functions on distribution initiatives.
  • Monitoring and checking inventory daily.
  • Maintains constant contact with vendors and shipping companies while deliveries are in route.
  • Notifies proper channels in a timely manner if a critical delivery is going to be late.
  • Coordinates with Production and Transportation departments to address discrepancies and errors in the supply chain process.
  • Monitors warehouse workers and associated activities; offers assistance to those with concerns or problems on the work floor.
  • Collaborates with Transportation department on maintaining costs and evaluating expenses.
  • Ensures that products delivered are stored in an organized manner, so that its quality is maintained and accessibility is achieved.
  • Meets regularly with other managers to confer about products, shipping times, and distribution issues, among many other concerns.
  • Improves processes to improve shipping and distribution function.
  • Contact suppliers to ensure that all dropship purchase orders were received and that deliveries will ship on time.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years management experience.
  • Strong leadership/management skills including the ability to balance efficient and productive operations with effective administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills also required.
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Must be able to relate using effective interpersonal, diplomacy, leadership and related skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm, time and dedication to take on a fast-paced, demanding, ever-changing and highly rewarding challenge.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

  • Typical logistics/warehouse environment.
  • Flexibility in scheduling to meet customer demands e.g. nights, weekend.
