We are currently seeking a Central Scheduler for one of the nation's top hospital facilities. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is excited to have an opportunity to be part of a well-renowned healthcare center. Below is the description of what the Central Scheduler position would entail:
Schedule: Monday - Friday
9a - 530p


Central Scheduler

Job Description:
  • Central schedulers will be scheduling, obtaining insurance information, and sending the initial eligibility. The call volume is 80+ calls per day. One must have strong computer skills to enter all insurance information as well as schedule. Must have strong patient service and communication skills. Knowledge of Medical terminology is a must!

Requirements include:
  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Must be able to keep up with 80+ phone calls per day
  • Must have strong medical terminology and be able to enter insurance information quickly and accurately
  • Must be able to articulate co-pays, coinsurance and deductibles to patients scheduling appointments
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to critically think and defuse irate patients calling about bills- must direct them to the right departments
  • Must have 1+ years of EMR experience
