Clinical Lab Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages lab inventory and lab supply orders.
  • Ensures proper calibration and function of Laboratory equipment. Monitor equipment maintenance including equipment service contracts. Schedules and communicates with contractors as needed to perform equipment and facilities maintenance and repairs.
  • Monitors compliance with Laboratory Safety Policies.
  • Ensures that quality control and compliance procedures are followed and that QC reports are up to date. Oversees plans and preparations for quality/regulatory inspections.
  • Manages inventory and logistics of sample collection and shipping materials to support clinical study sites utilizing SI testing.
  • Assists in planning and logistics of trade shows and company meetings in coordination with commercial operations.
  • Organizes and coordinates company meetings onsite and external customer site visits.
  • Develops and implements standard operating procedures and policies with regard to general laboratory operations. Collaborates with laboratory management in developing and implementing standard operating procedures and policies for the pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical phases of testing.
  • Collaborates with the Director and other managers/supervisors in budget management, resource allocation, and cost control.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree in life/biological sciences required. Master's degree with a specialization in life/biological sciences preferred
  • Previous 2+ years' experience in clinical laboratory required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple functions and priorities
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, and with vendors and partners
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to support quality decision-making
  • Proven problem solving/troubleshooting abilities
