Job Description

An industry leading design and manufacturer of packaging solutions and automation is seeking a permanent Field Service Engineer to join their team. This organization has a large international presence, with clients in over 50 countries worldwide utilizing their end-of-the-line packaging equipment. They pride themselves in having low employee turnover and developing employees internally through training and education. Our team of Field Service Technicians are responsible for new equipment installations and general support, and performing engineering audits. This position works onsite in customers’ facilities worldwide 90%-95%.  



Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and modify PLC programs and issues related to electrical controls

  • Install, startup, and test new and existing automated packaging equipment

  • Conveyors

  • Canning lines

  • Inserters

  • Palletizers

  • Robotics

  • Assist staff at customer sites, including training, PMs, and proper operating procedures.

  • Troubleshoot wiring and complete I/O checks

Job Requirements

Field Service Engineer Requirements:

  • Two year degree or certificate in electro-mechanical technology or equivalent

  • 3 years of related experience

  • Proficient with PLC program modification and troubleshooting

  • Available for 90% travel internationally (valid passport required)
