Service Technician I

Pay: $16 to 20

3 month project

Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm

Fully responsible for the production line and equipment. It's important for candidates to be mechanically inclined and able to use standard tools like screwdriver, caliper and micrometer. Will be cleaning up equipment and doing some maintenance when told. They may have a few instances where they replace a part or help fix a line. They need to be comfortable in a manufacturing setting.

Position Summary:

Provide technical assistance and guidance to production, customer support, field service, and engineering. Service, troubleshoot, and repair complex electro-mechanical systems and system subassemblies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify faulty components and sub-assemblies using basic troubleshooting techniques; repair and/or replace accordingly
  • Enter repair information into Complaint Handling database
  • Update device history records and complaint records. Prepare repair records for customer invoice
  • Test product to verify it meets design specifications
  • Make arrangements with Customer Support for return shipments to customers
  • Install new software and update hardware components as required including quality and performance testing on systems to verify upgrades
  • Check Engineering Change Order records and evaluate each system to determine if software or hardware upgrades are necessary
  • Synchronize current product changes/issues into repair activities
  • Generate Quality System Records on applicable documentation
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to process, documentation and material improvements
  • Understand and comply with Medical Quality Policy, ESD precautions, and OSHA guidelines as applicable
  • Obtain replacement parts as necessary and perform inventory transactions within EPR/MRP database
  • Support field service with customer issues and field inventory levels to ensure field service employees and 3rd-party service providers have the parts they need
  • Perform decontamination of returned injector systems
