Application Consultant

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the Application Consultant is to bridge the gap between technical expertise and sales efforts. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Knowledge:

• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of HVAC products, systems, and technologies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in HVAC technology.

Technical Consultation:

• Provide technical expertise to engineering customers and sales teams regarding HVAC products and application.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate HVAC products based on their specific project needs and requirements.
• Assist customers by providing project specific specifications and sequence of operations.

Customer Interaction:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
• Engage with customers to understand their project requirements and challenges and provide potential solutions.
• Conduct on-site visits to assess existing HVAC installations and recommend improvements.
• Gather feedback from customers to serve them better.
• Attend industry related conferences to promote products and services.

Sales Support:

• Assist inside sales team with proper selections to ensure accurate quote and accurate submittals.
• Assist with questions that arise from the submittal review process.

Training and Education:

• Conduct training sessions for customers on the proper use and application of products.
• Keep customers and internal staff informed about new products and technologies.
• Take groups of customers on factory visits.

     General: 

• Work cooperatively with others
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
• Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable attendance and availability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
•  Professional Engineers License desired
• 5 years’ experience in Consulting Engineering or Sales Engineering
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office, Adobe, etc.
• Possess a satisfactory driving record as determined by company driver policies

Travel Requirement:

• 10% travel to branches and other operating companies requiring some overnight stay, travel to industry related conferences and training requiring some extended stay
