Job Description

This position is responsible for the evaluation, development, and ongoing assessment of the company’s compensation program through regular review and analysis of our salary and incentive plans. This role will also serve in a consultative capacity to organizational leadership and members of the human resources department regarding compensation principles and practices to ensure our programs align with the company’s business strategy by providing competitive compensation packages.


  • Level and map job roles to our compensation structure, taking into consideration both US and Canadian pay markets as well as specific geographical differentials
  • Conduct job evaluations and market assessment using market data and internal evaluations
  • Use your expert analytical skills combined with your strong communication skills to present compensation insights to stakeholders in all parts of our business
  • Partner with department leaders, HR Business Partners, and recruiters on compensation related matters such as offers, promotions, and internal transfers
  • Perform analysis on the effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation programs, and model potential impact of alternatives
  • Assist in the administration of the annual review cycles
  • Stay up-to-date with employment-related federal and state legislation regarding employee compensation
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners on the administration of the job architecture
  • Participate in annual compensation surveys
  • Review salary survey participation data including audits, validation, benchmarking reviews, and making recommendations
  • Update and maintain compensation-related data in JDE EnterpriseOne
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of progressively responsible compensation experience
  • Knowledge and application of compensation principles, theories, policies, practices, and systems
  • Strong attention to detail; advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced skill level for Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws governing compensation practices
  • Excellent prioritization and organization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be self-directed and work independently
  • Ability to work independently and in a matrix organization
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change across multiple business units
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to effectively present those findings to different audiences
  • Solid understanding of compensation survey data and ability to leverage that data to drive competitive pay decisions
