Human Resource Generalist duties include, but are not limited to, providing support to the Company in the areas of employee and management relations,  FMLA, investigations and other areas of Human Resources.

Human Resource Generalist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding labor and employment law compliance, wage/hour laws, sexual harassment and discrimination prevention, etc.
  • Utilize independent judgment and best practices in conducting investigations and recommended resolutions; documents investigations as appropriate
  • Responsible for compiling data, reporting and analysis of investigation data and results
  • Provide employee relations support to managers and employees to ensure complaints, performance management, and corrective action procedures are handled in a fair, consistent, and legally compliant manner
  • Support various human resource initiatives and procedures; assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience; preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • Solid knowledge of current labor laws and human resource practices, including compensation analysis 
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (HRIS) highly preferred
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships at all organizational levels
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service focused
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel
