Job Description

The Lube Technician position is responsible for traveling to construction project sites in the Denver Metro Area and performing preventative maintenance services on MYR equipment and providing support to the area line construction crews. Position is in the field and requires travel, some weekend work, and overtime. Located out of the Henderson, CO shop but primarily services Denver Metro and outlying project areas. Starting pay is $18/hr.

Duties:

This position will be responsible for performing basic preventative maintenance on electrical construction and transportation equipment. In addition, this individual will be responsible for light mechanical work, lubrication, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment.

The ability to multitask and identify parts, identify machines that need new components as well as those which need to be replaced will be necessary. MYR equipment to include but not limited to:

  • Bucket trucks
  • Digger derricks
  • Boom trucks
  • Construction equipment
  • Overhead pullers and tension machines
  • Aerial lifts
  • Large mobile cranes
  • Class 1 to 8 vehicles
  • Dozers and other construction equipment

Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience servicing heavy construction equipment is highly preferred
  • 1-5 years of experience servicing and performing preventative maintenance work on dirt equipment, backhoes, dozers and electrical placing equipment, overhead pullers and tensioners
  • 1-5 years  experience servicing and performing preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems
  • Valid CDL-A preferred, will accept CDL-B license (a must) and a good driving record. Must be willing to obtain a CDL within 3 months if not currently possessing one
  • Able to work out of town and/or away from home for long periods of time
  • Good welding skills: stick, mig, tig, and gas preferred
  • Ability to use a wide range of personal hand tools
  • Good communication and computer skills
  • Able to balance large workloads and coordinate mandated inspections
