Location: Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre, 100 Murray Park Road

The North West Company (NWC) is looking to fill a position at our Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre. Your role as the Maintenance Technician involves providing building and equipment maintenance/repair. You provide support to ensure safety, productivity, and profitability to both Winnipeg warehouse facilities under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.

Your Role:

• Electrical, mechanical, or HVAC certification, Previous experience in conducting mechanical repairs on motorized equipment or vehicles with a high degree of accuracy is required;
• Ability to become certified on all lift equipment;
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads;
• Ability to comprehend repair manuals;
• Proficient in reading written materials at an intermediate level;
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted periodically, including overhead lifting;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers;
• Ability to work effectively, both under minimal supervision and within a team environment;
• Basic numeracy skills for the purposes of measurement and task execution; and
• Holds a valid Class 5 Drivers License with the ability to travel between locations within the city as required.



Desired Skills Experience:

• 2 years of experience in warehouse maintenance is preferred;
• Minimum education upto Grade 12 is a must;
• Perform maintenance on facility conveyors, storage racking, and material handling equipment such as lift trucks and forklifts;
• Attend to maintenance requests received by the Maintenance Department for all services or repairs;
• Perform basic repairs on HVAC systems throughout the facility;
• Performs repairs to exterior building and grounds as required;
• Collects waste material and ensures effective removal;
• Performs general housekeeping duties inside and outside of the building and within the parking lot and front entrance;
• Operates motorized cleaning equipment; and
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
