In your role as the Supervisor, Marketing Advertising at The North West Company (NWC), you will take ownership of our advertising campaigns and manage the planning, trafficking and reporting process to ensure outstanding results. Your Role:

• Understand the complexities of NWC pricing methods and ensure that all promotional pricing operates in partnership with these methods;
• Manage and understand the promotional inputs into Power HQ/ AS400 and promotional planning software or templates;
• Provide data updates to Information Services or Pricing departments;
• Manage the creation of product traits and promotion information in Retek for promotional processing;
• Monitor the flow of promotional planning materials, item selection, promotional Advance Ordering process, data deliverables needed for reporting, and scanback processing;
• Ensure the Promotional Coordinators are adequately cross trained to ensure coverage at all times;
• Assist in all promotional planning meetings and monitor the program plans and milestones;
• Improve the accuracy of the flyer processing to reduce errors or changes;
• Collect competitive flyer information for the category teams;
• Troubleshoot flyer delivery in cooperation with supply chain or printer when needed; and
• Monitor the process of collecting pricing from stores and category teams;
• Ensure submissions from the category teams will achieve financial targets or content requirements for promotions;
• Measure and report on promotions and improve performance metrics;
• Independently manage the Managers Price Cut program;
• Manage and update the Marketing and Event Calendar; and
• Compile store trade show rebate information to Finance.

Desired Skills Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years related retail marketing experience;
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in managing a team;
• Post-secondary education with a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Marketing, or a combination of education and training in a related field;
• Proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills;
• Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and assignments while adhering to very strict timelines;
• Work exceptionally well independently and able to foster collaboration across a diverse team;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills;
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office;
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail;
• Must possess strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships within the organization; and
• Must work well in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
