As Workforce Planning Manager at The North West Company (NWC), you will develop and manage Workforce Planning programs for Operations key roles and address areas of weakness or risk related to workforce demand and productivity.

Your Role:

• Executes and monitors compliance to principles, policies and procedures otherwise escalates. E.g. ensures compliance to optimal structure;
• Develops programs, policies and principles to respond to planned and unplanned events e.g. student programs, temporary services, internal work experience programs and gains buy in for programs or action plans;
• Works with partners in HR, Operations to create and execute programs that align or are needed to have the right employee in the right role at the right time;
• Monitors execution and success of the plan, recommending changes as required;
• Leads regular meetings with business partners to understand and plan demand, adjusting needs and plans if necessary;
• Communicates change requests to related partners if required;
• Analyzes and reports monthly recruitment, internal promotion against forecasting and ensures communications with all stakeholders;
• Forecasts and manages emergency relief workforce for the NCR Banner to respond to future or current workforce planning needs as required; and,
• Manage and maintain the store uniform program for execution by all banners.


Desired Skills Experience:

• Minimum 5-8 years HR experience in a generalist role required;
• Previous leadership and management experience;
• Project management skills are considered a definite asset;
• Experience in monitoring and using metrics and measures to impact decisions;
• Strong influencing skills are required;
• Ability and experience in handling sensitive and confidential information effectively and professionally;
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written;
• Excellent organization skills with attention to details and ability to adhere to strict timelines;
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
