Job Summary:

At NorthBay, we want to make it easy for our patients to navigate our healthcare system efficiently with appropriate support. The AVP of Care Management will provide enterprise leadership to deliver on this vision. The AVP of Care Management will provide strategic leadership and oversight for key quality, safety, population health, managed care, regulatory/compliance, and health education functions. The AVP will be a strategic “hands-on” leader who will develop a system-wide care management program and culture in the organization by developing plans, implementing programs and solutions, and tracking progress on specific initiatives. 

This leader will ensure effective program development and execution in all areas of integrated care management services and partnerships. This leader is responsible for the identification of managed care growth opportunities through care management activities and assists in developing strategies to achieve the expansion of existing and new services – while ensuring compliance with all state and accreditation reporting requirements.

Education: 

  1. Master degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Business, Public Health or related field.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  1. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a leadership position with operational, management, and financial responsibility.
  2. Program management experience highly desirable.
  3. Case Management/ Utilization Management/Managed Care experience desirable.
  4. Strong verbal and written skills, Microsoft Office. Analytical skills - proven experience with business case development and ROI is required.
  5. Highly skilled at interacting and presenting to senior leaders and physician groups.
  6. Strong influencing skills.
  7. Ability to build and lead teams across functional areas with physicians, clinical, and administrative leaders through an influence model.
