Job Summary:
The Clinical Dietitian is responsible, accountable and has the authority to deliver nutrition care according to the philosophy, policies and goals/objectives of the Nutrition Department.  The Dietitian assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nutritional processes for individual patient care.                              

1. B.S. degree in Nutrition or Dietetics. 
2. Completion of Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) approved or accredited internship with emphasis on clinical nutrition.  

Licensure and Certification: 
1. Currently Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. (Registered Dietitian Eligible is also acceptable if the Commission on Dietetic Registration Exam is scheduled and RD status is obtained within 120 days of hire). 

Experience, Knowledge and Skills: 
1. At least one-year clinical experience in an acute care hospital or completion of CDR accredited internship with emphasis on clinical nutrition.  
2. Applies the nutrition care process in providing care. 
3. Capable of working independently and applying time management effectively. 
4. Requires written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.

1. Excellent communica­tion and interpersonal skills in dealing with the public, co-workers, patients, and families. 
2. Ability to remain flexible and positive within a rapidly changing patient care environment. 
3.
