Job Summary: 

Under the supervision of HR staff, the Nurse Recruiter, and subject matter experts, supports education and training activities for the System. Staffs venues including but not limited to orientation programs, Continuing Education classes, inservices, skills and job fairs. May assist with associated planning, monitoring, evaluation and improvement activities. May provide back-up instruction appropriate to experience and competencies. Is an ad hoc member of the Learning and Leadership Development Team within Human Resources.Because of the program-based nature of job assignments, on-call availability requirements apply to periods greater than two weeks. Assignments are typically negotiated and documented at the beginning of the evaluation year, and re-evaluated on a continuous basis. The seasonal performance appraisal process may apply. 


  1. High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  2. College level coursework in education strongly preferred, in Human Resources and computer applications preferred.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  1. 2 years experience in a healthcare setting within the past 5 years required. Hiring manager exercises discretion in assessing relevance of experience to job requirements.
  2. Supervisory experience preferred to support responsibilities to feedback and administrative oversight.
  3. Stand-up training experience preferred to support presentation responsibilities.
  4. Must demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
  5. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy in a busy office environment. 
  6. Cross-disciplinary problem-solving skills required.
  7. Mechanical proficiency and confidence to troubleshoot audiovisual and presentation equipment/systems required.
  8. Familiarity with medical terminology required. Familiarity with a broad range of medically related workflows strongly preferred.
  9. Presentation skills, familiarity with presentation software strongly preferred.
  10. Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite strongly preferred. 
  11. Must demonstrate the highest discipline re: confidentiality.

  17. Occasionally requires travel to multiple NorthBay campuses and community venues to support assigned responsibilities.
  18. Hours of Work: Pre-scheduled hours, typically weekdays, typically between 0700 and 1800. 
  19. Occasional late notice requests for staffing, based on unanticipated events
  20. Must meet on-call availability standards, as defined by the department for the role.
  21. Requires a high level of comfort with taking initiative and being accountable for team work and service excellence.
  22. Must comply with System driving standards if pre-scheduled travel exceeds an average of once weekly.
