Director, Ambulatory Revenue Cycle
Full Time, FTE:  1; 
Administration Center
Fairfield, CA

Job Summary:

  1. The Director of Ambulatory Revenue Cycle is responsible for managing the overall functions of the Ambulatory Revenue Cycle for NorthBay Healthcare’s multi-specialty physician practices.
  2. Responsible for the maximization of revenue and cash flow while maintaining the highest levels of patient, physician and employee satisfaction and relations. This includes management oversight of all business related functions of the patient visit from point of entry to accurate adjudication of the patient’s account. 
  3. Specific areas of responsibility include coding, billing and collections, patient insurance data processing, denials management, integrity of patient accounts and accounts receivable management.
  4. Responsible for the direction of these efforts together with the physician offices and Ambulatory leadership to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of charge capture, coding, claims submission, follow-up, denial and underpayment management. 
  5. Reports to the Senior Director of Revenue Cycle Management and Senior Director Physician Contracts Compensation and Business Operations. 
  6. This leader consistently demonstrates and role models the NorthBay Way value based principles and holds others accountable to behavior consistent and inconsistent with the NorthBay Way principles. 


Education:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Administrative Healthcare related field required.

Licensure and Certifications:

  1. Coding credentials (CCS-P or equivalent) required.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  1. Seven (7) years of experience in Revenue Cycle operations with at least 3 years’ experience in a relevant leadership role is required.
  2. Three (3) years’ experience managing patient registration, time of service collections and charge entry, billing and collection functions in a multi-specialty setting is required.
  3. Experience managing or directing Revenue Cycle operations through a system conversion is strongly preferred.
  4. Demonstrated initiative, follow through and ability to work independently.
  5. Demonstrated results-oriented leadership style.
  6. Effective project management skills.
  7. Excellent interpersonal, judgment and problem solving skills.
  8. Knowledge of and experience with organizational change processes.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  10. Must be able to deal with job-related stress, multiple projects and deadlines.
