Job Summary:

  1. Designated as Director of Home Health. Director participates as member of the Management Team in establishing and achieving strategic goals in an all domains of Key Performance Indicator: Access/Growth, Quality, Finance and Staff Engagement.
  2. Responsible for the clinical operations of the home health, directly supervises the Home Health clinical and administrative staff. Monitors work schedules, evaluates performance, develops staff, drives quality, resolves complaints, administers discipline as necessary, manages productivity.
  3. Responsible to schedule, manage and lead within budget allocations.
  4. Adheres to organizational, policies and procedures, professional, standards and evidence based practice, and  state and federal regulations. 
  5. Represents the department/program to the community and within the system as requested.
  6. Participates in administrative call duty. 
  7. Works under the supervision of the Executive Director.


  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  2. Bachelors of Nursing degree, from an accredited nursing program, required.
  3. Master level of education in relevant field preferred

Licensure and Certification:

  1. Current, unrestricted, California Registered Nurse.
  2. Current California driver’s license and access to operating vehicle with at least minimal coverage auto insurance. 

Experience, Knowledge and Skills: 

  1. At least three years previous management or leadership in home health, five years is preferred.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of the home health business, clinical skills, and  leadership skills.
  3. Ability to direct and coordinate the work of others.
  4. Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to organize, prioritize and prepare reports.
  6. Makes data driven decisions.

  2. Participates in rotating administrative after hours on call.

  4. Participates in at least one home care-related or management seminar yearly.
