Environmental Services Manager

Job Summary:

The Environmental Services Manager is accountable to the Director, Environment of Care & Safety Officer. This position is responsible for managing Environmental Services staff, budgets, equipment and other resources in maintaining assigned NorthBay Healthcare facilities in a safe, clean and orderly fashion.  This individual directly coordinates personnel activities such as hiring, conducting disciplinary action, training and staff scheduling. Also maintains an adequate level of supplies and equipment approved by the Infection Prevention committee. This individual establishes and monitors for quality standardized Environmental Services work practices, and Linen Quality Assurance indicators for NorthBay Medical Center and VacaValley hospitals to ensure continuous quality improvement and efficiency.


  1. Bachelor's degree or eight years of experience in the field and five years of progressively responsible management experience in environmental services required. 
  2. Master’s Degree preferred.


  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  2. Must be well organized, be able to set priorities, work independently and is an effective team member.
  3. Computer skills must include Microsoft Word and Excel.

  1.   1. Knowledge of hospital infection control practices, environmental services policies and procedures, Joint Commission Environment of Care requirements, CMS requirements, Cal-OSHA  and Title 22 regulations, and hazardous material and waste related regulations.
