Manager, Emergency Management & Continuity

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

At NorthBay Health the Manager, Emergency Management & Continuity is responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the organization’s Emergency Management Program and Hazardous Materials Plan. This includes, but is not limited to, coordinating disaster/homeland security response or crisis management activities, provide disaster preparedness training, prepare, implement and monitor compliance with emergency plans and procedures for natural (e.g. fires, earthquakes, floods), wartime or technological (e.g. aviation disasters, hazardous materials handling/spills) incidents, disasters, hostage situations, hazardous materials and waste permits & licensing, OSHA safety compliance, and other emergency management and preparedness related issues.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or 8 or more years of experience in one or more of the following areas: emergency/disaster preparedness, emergency response/operations, fire safety, environmental health and safety, and/or incident command systems required. Training and/or experience in NIMS/HICS. Clinical training and experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) strongly preferred.
  • Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) preferred.
  • Associate Emergency Manager (AEM) preferred.
  • HAZWOPER certification preferred.
  • IS-100,200,700 & 800 preferred.

Experience: Four years’ experience with disaster planning, emergency management, emergency preparedness or emergency response in a healthcare environment preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Skills:  Prior training, certification and experience in the following areas strongly preferred: emergency planning and management, emergency medical services, fire/life safety, safety/risk management, hazardous materials and waste management. Excellent communication, teaching and presentation skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self-sufficient with minimal direction. Operational problem solving/decision making experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Budgeted salary range is  $125K -  MAX $135K (Offered annual salary based on years of experience)  

Incentive bonus eligible, up to 15% of the annualized salary
