Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health (Full Time, Days)

NorthBay Health Fairfield, CA (Onsite) Part-Time

At NorthBay Health The OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner supports the Center for Women’s Health practice in providing low risk antepartum, intra-partum and postpartum care, pre-conception, family planning, routine gynecology, and well woman care. The OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner will provide routine prenatal care to pregnant women from point of entry into care through the immediate post-partum period.  

The OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner will conduct physical examinations, prescribe medications including controlled substances and contraceptive methods, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. 

The OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner will include health promotion, disease prevention and individualized wellness education and counseling.  Patient care is provided under the direction of a supervising physician within the Center for Women’s Health.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shifts, 32 -40 hours a week. 

Education: Graduate of an accredited BSN nursing program or related field. Masters in nursing or other clinical area. 

Licensure/Credentials:  Current California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Board Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.  Current AHA or equivalent BLS. Maintains a current Furnishing Number for medications and current DEA license for schedule 2 drugs and above.

Experience:  Three (3) years’ experience in an active OB Practice.

Skills:  Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient’s physical and emotional status. Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs. Demonstrates current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: Adult, Young Adult, Adolescent, Pediatric, and Neonatal.   Demonstrates clear credentials check through the AHP process.

Compensation and benefits : 

Hourly salary range MIN $83.11 - MAX $101.03 (offered hourly rate based on years of experience as a NP)
