Project Manager I - Operational Excellence

Job Summary:

Manages the Operational Exellence (OpEx) Project Management Office (PMO) project process, including cross departmental requests, reviews, approvals, scoping, feasibility studies, and project delivery.  Leads multidisciplinary teams of stakeholders to ensure projects are evaluated, triaged, initiated, and completed in a timely manner, within projected scope and budget. Acts as primary liaison between the business and various resources including OpEx PMO senior management and Enterprise Executives. Consults in all initiatives at OpEx PMO requiring project management expertise. Leads business process analyses, needs assessment and cost/benefit analyses for all OpEx PMO projects. Organizes, directs and develops project team resources in order to effectively meet project commitments and business objectives. Position reports directly to the AVP of the OpEx PMO, and works very closely with all OpEx PMO senior leadership team.

Education:

1. Bachelor’s Degree required.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills: 

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in healthcare and 2 years’ experience at project management, or equivalent. 
2. PMI or PMP (or equivalent) certification required.
3. Project management and analytical skills required.
4. Leadership, strong verbal and written communication, conflict resolution, self-starter, works independently, organizes workload. 
5. Proficient with Microsoft software, project management software, and cloud-based document collaboration tools. 
6. Expertise with healthcare systems applications and processes. 
7. Marketing skills to promote projects throughout the organization.
8. Consulting skills with specific consulting expertise.
9. Excellent inter-personal, written and communication skills.
10. Ability to effectively resolve complex issues simultaneously and escalate when appropriate.
