Quality Improvement Analyst (temporary)
Temporary, FTE: 1

Job Summary:

This position reports to the Supervisor of Quality Improvement. By using various technologies, the analyst will support organizational excellence through analytics, report writing, database maintenance and queries, enhancement of Quality systems, and observational studies. Responsible for maintaining various reports that translate into meaningful information for organizational operations, quality improvement, and other leadership teams that require knowledge from data for decision making in alignment with the organizations strategic goals, objectives, and initiatives. Responsible for creating and maintaining Quality reports and preparing summary reports for various departments, committees, and leadership. Develops and maintains databases as required by the department. Participates in survey and regulatory preparation including:  readiness assessment, action plan development, education and monitoring for standard compliance. Works independently utilizing a high level of initiative, judgment and critical thinking skills and also works collaboratively in internal and external teams.


  1. Information Management Degree or healthcare related degree preferred. 


  1. 2+ years of progressive experience in healthcare analytics required.
  2. Medical terminology course preferred. 
  3. Project Management experience preferred.
  4. Advanced working knowledge of Crystal Reports, Midas/Datavision, Statit, and Cerner reporting preferred. 


  1. Experience with spreadsheets, relational databases, data warehouses, and application solutions programming is required.
  2. Must demonstrate knowledge of quality improvement databases. 
  3. Must possess analytic problem solving skills, with attention to detail, and have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. 
  4. Excellent critical thinking skills. 
  5. Excellent problem solving skills. 
  6. Ability to integrate information from multiple sources.  Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and Power Point skills required
  7. Knowledge of hospital and outpatient operations, informatics, clinical decision support, business concepts and advanced analysis skills are required.
