Basic Job Functions:
Minimum Requirements:
Prior environmental, mechanical or electrical maintenance experience
Engineering degree and/or 2+ years’ experience in a related field
Detailed Selection Criteria:
Communication Skills: The ability to give full attention to what others are saying and communicate information so that others will understand.
Maintenance Systems and Techniques: Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge for servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, tools, devices, moving parts, and machines/equipment.
Teamwork: Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.
Problem Solving: Identifying problems and taking ownership to ensure items get resolved/documented.
Initiative: Taking ownership of various tasks and being willing to take on responsibilities, tasks, and challenges.
Coordination: Adjusting actions in relation to others to integrate activities or information to achieve team goals.
Environmental: Promotes environmental stewardship while maintaining compliance in all areas of the site through conformance with Nucor's environmental program. This includes reviewing and implementing environmental technical standards and policies.
Accountability/Dependability: Displays responsibility with work habits and has the ability to hold others accountable for desired results. Being reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling obligations.
