Basic Job Functions:

The basic functions of the Maintenance Technician include preventive maintenance, electrical troubleshooting and repairs, and repairs on existing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Additional responsibilities include installation, fabrication, and startup of new equipment, and filling in for other positions in maintenance department as needed.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of industrial maintenance experience.

Proven skills in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Allen Bradly PLC troubleshooting and or programming.

Industrical electrical experience.

Welding and/or fabrication experience.

Formal education or training in a maintenace related field.
