Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products-Cedar Springs has an opening in our Maintenance 
Department for a Shift Electrician. The successful candidate will possess a working knowledge
of electrical principles as well as practical experience as it relates to the Electrical Maintenance 
function.




Minimum Qualifications:

 Two year degree, successful completion of trade school, or a minimum of three years 
industrial electrical experience (Manufacturing preferred)


Experience in a safety sensitive environment including good safety practices.
 Experience in industrial electrical equipment including electrical distribution, and 
machine control systems.
 Variable Frequency Drive experience
 Practical experience in electrical theory as it relates to electric motors, transformers, and 
other 3 phase electrical equipment
 Experience in a team-based work environment.
 Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, 
rotating shifts, and weekends.



Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of automation and networking equipment and processes including:
 Knowledge of PID/closed loop control systems
 Networking tools and standards
 HMI troubleshooting
 Process instrumentation
 Protection Equipment
 NFPA 70E Training
 Overhead crane knowledge and repair experience
 Demonstrated computer skill set including experience with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, 
and AutoCAD
 Ability to interpret electrical schematics for installation, repair, and maintaining 
equipment
 Basic pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge
