Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products - Trinity is seeking to fill the position of Lab Tech. Lab Tech is responsible for the efficient operation of the Lab as well as all required testing such as Charpy testing and Tensile testing. The Lab Tech will work with all Operations, Maintenance, and the Quality group to look for ways to continually improve the safety, reliability, and cost effectiveness of Quality. The successful candidate must possess a high level of dedication to Nucor and must be able to complete the essentials functions of the job without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent


• Demonstrate good leadership skills.


• Ability to travel to visit customers on short notice.


• Demonstrate commitment to safety and quality.


• Proficiency in Microsoft office


• Able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.


• Demonstrate ability for continuous improvement.


• Previous experience in quality specific role


• Quality Management System Experience


• Ability and willingness to progress to quality engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in quality, operations, manufacturing in industrial environment


• Skilled at root cause and effect analysis


• Proficiency in material testing


• Work history responding to order inquiries, technical specs, and complaint resolution.


• CNC Machine experience


• Auditor training


• PPAP/Trial
