Title: CNC Machinist – Manual/Turner

Location: Aberdeen, UK

 

Position Summary

Responsible for performing Manual Machining Operations on our new state of the art machining equipment. The successful applicant will comply with work instructions and review any relevant drawings. This role will set-up, edit and machine parts complete to customer prints and specifications. Will respond to diagnose and repair machine maintenance needs.

 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Work with Manual or CNC Machinery, including Lathes or Milling Machines
  • Working with a variety of materials, especially Stainless Steels.
  • Comply with the company’s Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • CNC Machine programming if required.
  • Performs machining operation as per work procedure and relevant SOP’s.
  • Check product on completion meets required specifications.
  • Responsible for general housekeeping on and around work area.

Job Requirements

Position Specific Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with Manual or CNC Machinery, including Lathes or Milling Machines
  • Experience with a variety of materials, especially Stainless Steels
  • Hand held power tools.
  • Strong Written & Verbal skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in various machining techniques.

 

Requirement- Must be flexible on shifts:

 

Position is required to work shifts as follows:

Day shift: Monday – Friday 07.00 – 15.30

Night Shift: Monday – Thursday 15.30 – 0200

 

Safety Accountabilities

  • Ensuring that work is carried out in compliance with company Quality, Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the highest standard of workmanship produced is in accordance with the company expectations and as per customer, regulatory standards and specification.
  • Wearing the assigned Personal Protective Equipment required.
  • Keeping the work area neat, organized & free of trip and other hazards.
  • Supporting continual improvement of the integrated management system by expressing better and safer ways to perform tasks and improve policies and procedures.
