Position Summary

The primary focus of this position is to provide applications support for Oracle Supply chain and Financials modules. This Position is also responsible for supporting other peripheral applications used to supplement Oracle EBS. The analyst should work closely with Business users, Development team, DBAs, Vendors and Business Analysts as needed during support activities. This position will report to Lead Business Analyst.

Job Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS include the following:

  • Provide Oracle Applications support and guidance ensuring daily operations are running smoothly, which includes troubleshooting, resolving issues, training, documentation and tracking of tickets within the support ticketing queue.
  • Actively participate in the testing and implementation of new/upgraded applications
  • Document requests and requirements from the business and collaborate with the appropriate IT Teams on possible solutions.
  • Work with Development team, Vendors and Business Analysts in development of the fixes and enhancements. Maintain existing configurations/setups and make changes as needed
  • Create test plans, test cases, test scripts and perform Unit testing
  • Facilitate User testing with Business users to ensure the requirements are met with the delivered solution. Receive Sign-offs for Production moves
  • Coordinate with Development team and DBAs to deploy changes to production
  • Develop training materials including work instructions and process maps as required
  • Notify the Support leads of any Critical issues impacting Production data, reports or performance
  • Competent to work on all phases of Project Implementations
  • Demonstrates Ability to problem solve and generate innovative solutions in conjunction with customers, vendors, and Information Technology
  • Follow Company standards, policies and support processes
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (preferably in Computer Science, MIS or business degree with technology as a concentration)
  • Should have at least 2-4 years overall IT experience
  • Should have at least 2 years experience with Oracle EBS in Supply Chain, EAM and Financials modules
  • Work experience in Oil and Gas domain is preferred
  • Functional knowledge of core business processes such as Accounting, Asset Maintenance and Supply Chain Management
  • Technical understanding of Oracle tables, Data flow, Workflow and SQL is helpful
  • Expert (demonstrated skills without assistance) with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong customer orientation
  • Critical thinking & problem solving skills
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while managing time in a proficient and effective manner
  • Understands business processes and requirements as related to the business environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull and use repetitive wrist and hand movements. The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects of up to 25 pounds. Hearing, seeing ability to include depth perception, peripheral vision and rapid mental coordination. It is required to be mentally alert for entire regular shift.


This position will typically work in a climate controlled building in the corporate office of Parker Drilling.
