POSITION SUMMARY

The SharePoint Analyst is responsible for the support, maintenance and configuration of Parker Drilling’s Intranet.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS include the following:

  • Provides SharePoint support to end users.
  • Manage system security, system patching and upgrades.
  • Deploy custom developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages.
  • Configure SharePoint services and settings through the use of best practices.
  • Document SharePoint configuration and architecture.
  • Manages site quotas and file size limits.
  • Reviews and monitoring usage reports.
  • Manages content databases and creating new ones as required.
  • Administers and maintains sites and sub-sites.
  • Manages security for sites and sub-sites.
  • Manages the site layout structure design and content.
  • Maintains and coordinates SharePoint and Web System backups and disaster recovery procedures
  • Supports software development teams by creating sandboxes, deploying and managing new features and packages.
  • Develops basic and advanced SharePoint artifacts, including (but not limited to) web parts, custom fields, custom lists, views, and content types, sites and sub-sites, lists, and libraries.
  • Manages the design, delivery and continuous improvement of all SharePoint sites, in support of the organization’s needs.
  • Prepares employees to continue site success by ensuring employees are trained on use and best practices.
  • Partners with individual departments to outline deliverables, expectations and risks.
  • Understand business problems, processes and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enables the organization to achieve its goals.

Job Requirements

POSITION SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SharePoint administration required.
  • Knowledge and experience with SharePoint 2016, SharePoint online, SharePoint Designer, workflows is required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing multiple, simultaneous, complex tasks.
  • Prior experience with JavaScript and PowerShell is required.Knowledge of the agile method preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and assist with support.
  • Desirable skills include: HTML, CSS, PHP, Java, Python and other experiences with development languages or tools
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with colleagues, management, and vendors.
  • Must be a detail oriented, self-starter and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
  • Must be capable of working in a team environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, carry, push/pull and use repetitive wrist and hand movements. The employee may be required to lift and/or move objects of up to 25 pounds. Hearing, seeing ability of rapid mental coordination. It is required to be mentally alert for entire regular shift.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will typically work in a climate controlled building in the corporate office of Parker Drilling.
