Job Description

Key Job Activities:

  • Directly responsible for cultivating relationships with Buyers, Assistant Buyers and Replenishment Managers to be in the know of what is happening internally with direct accounts.  Collaborates with the internal cross-functional teams, combining the information gained from the customer with the knowledge of the current marketplace and competitors to develop and execute strategic plans to achieve objectives. 
  • Cultivates relationships with outside sales representatives and agencies.  Collaborates, plans, prioritizes and co-develops a strategic path to success.  Manages the representatives to ensure they are on track and that they have the support needed to be successful. 
  • Works closely with the marketing, product development and accounting teams to ensure the needs of the Field Sales accounts are being met.  Develops forecasts, budgets and plans and develops strategies to meet corporate objectives.  Manages all aspects of the programs. 
  • Attends key shows throughout the year (Do It Best, True Value, etc.) 
  • Coordinates and develops a comprehensive sales presentation. 

Scope of Work: 

This position requires a detailed, analytical, persistent, and outgoing individual.  This person has superior communication skills and is able to effectively communicate and collaborate with both internal and external teams.  The ability to strategically develop comprehensive plans, budgets, and program proposals as well as to manage the business is critical.  The ability to multi-task and prioritize is essential. The ability to manage outside sales reps is critical. 


  • Bachelor’s degree in business areas such as management, marketing or economics. 
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, experience managing outside sales representatives, an in depth understanding of the retail environment, analytical, detail oriented, personable with proven sales experience. 
  • 8+ years of sales experience. 
  • Ability to establish and develop key contact/relationships in all aspects of the business. Must have experience managing outside sales reps across the US & Canada. 
  • Must be able to sell the AcuRite brand. 
  • Must be willing to travel 30% of the time.
