Production Supervisor – 1 st Shift

Requirements

With minimal supervision and through collaboration with the Plant Manager and plant employees, develops, implements, maintains, manages, audits, and continuously improves systems quality standards, and policies and procedures, to provide effective leadership and appropriate direction to support the organization.

Supervisor Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory/team leader/manager role, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.

Basic accounting knowledge

Project management skills

Good written and oral communication skills

Sound organizational skills

Working knowledge of troubleshooting and machining practices, processes, and principles.

Ability to lead and function effectively on a team, develop and maintain positive relationships with peers, coordinate multi-functional activities, facilitate change within the manufacturing environment, provide leadership in the areas of motivating, directing, and guiding people for continuous improvement of PHD systems and the daily work performed by department personnel.

Ability to manage continuous improvement of manufacturing standards and provide assistance in the establishment of manufacturing systems.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate production needs.

Develop, train, and supervise hourly personnel.

Establish effective communication with related departments, such as Quality, Purchasing, Operations Engineering, Assembly, Maintenance, and Human Resources.

Inform the Plant Manager, on a timely basis, of personnel issues.

Coordinate scheduling with buyers.

Effectively utilize the data collection system.

Serve as a liaison between JDE issues and MIS.

Implement Procedures/Shop Floor Documents for MIS/JDE.
