SUMMARY Deposit Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of clerical accounting functions, such as compiling and sorting cash, calculating and verifying amounts, and posting transactions to accounts; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.

• Control assigned funds and communicate all questionable transactions and/or documentation to the Supervisor and/or Manager
• Verify, record and witness cash amounts turned in by cashiers who have responsibility for cash handling
• Complete applicable documentation accurately and according to corporate policies and procedures as well as
• Review for accuracy and proper completion of all documentation completed by cashiers
• Order, maintain, and distribute change according to branch needs
• Prepare, issue, and collect cashier banks and manager change banks
• Order money from bank
• Prepare bank deposit in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Use manual or mechanical means to count and verify cashier drops
• Responsible and accountable for large amounts of money
• Able to open/close operation in absence of Supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• High School diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
• Minimum of 1 year clerical accounting experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Able to interact with clients and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
• Basic keyboarding, ten-keying, or other repetitive motions
• Able to successfully pass a pre-employment check
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and/or Spanish
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with clients
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Average schedule of40 hours per week – additional hours may be required based on the needs of the business
• This is a 7 day operation, may require weekend work
• Responsible and accountable for large amounts of money
