Job Description

Psychotherapeutic Services is seeking a Substance Abuse Specialist (CSAC or LCAS) for our Assertive Community Treatment Team.  ACTT is an evidence-based service designed for adults with serious mental illness that provides a full range of treatment, rehabilitation and support services by an interdisciplinary team in a variety of community based settings. Services include psychiatric and nursing services, assistance with housing and employment, substance abuse treatment, peer support and case management.

Our SA Specialist will assist persons served by providing services and supports necessary to assist the recipient in achieving and maintaining rehabilitative, sobriety, and recovery goals. This is intended to meet the mental health/substance abuse needs of adults who have significant functional impairments that seriously interfere with or impede their roles or functioning in family, school, or community.

Tasks include:

*Completes clinical assessments, interviews and therapy sessions;

*Evaluates, and monitors behaviors, applying evidenced-based interventions;

*Counsels and advises individuals and their relatives, and advocates issues concerning the provision of services;

*Assists, trains and helps to direct other members of the team with regard to clinical substance abuse matters within the clinical purview of the team.

Job Requirements

*Certified or Licensed by the State of NC as CSAC or LCAS.

*Two (2) years' experience providing substance abuse services for adult mh/sa/dd.
